With both a home improvement and broadcast background Klauck brings a unique
angle to his home improvement radio program. Sponsored in part by Check A Pro
and ACE Hardware the show focuses on such issues as to how to find reputable
service providers and general home improvement tips.
Each week the program will include a panel of hosts and guests prepared to answer
the listener’s questions from call - ins, email and letters. Guests include licensed
service providers such as plumbers, electricians and A/C repair. The program
features weekly tips from ACE Hardware, offers real estate advice, includes a
‘contractor nightmare’ segment and other home related subject matter.
Jim lives in The Woodlands, TX with his wife Robin, son Jimmy and daughter Ashley.

About your host... Jim Klauck
Jim Klauck started his broadcast career in 1984 in
Hartford, CT. Jim is also an avid do-it-yourselfer. He
has owned many homes including a 230 year old farm
house. In 2005 Jim created a pre-qualified network of
service providers called Check A Pro. Check A Pro
allows local Houstonians access to over 180 pre-qualified
service providers.
The passion that drove Klauck to start a pre-qualified
network of service providers is what fueled the launch of
the ‘Check A Pro Radio Show’. “Not all contractors are
created equal” states Klauck. “Our show educates the
listener on how to best find a reputable service provider.
